High Angle and Confined Space Rescue
High Angle Rescue
Workers in industrial plants and facilities are often called upon to work in elevated areas, known in industry as high angle environments. Bridges, pipe racks, process vessels, and towers are just a few of the hazardous sites with the possibility for serious injury. High angle rescue operations involve unique dangers and require special training and equipment.
HSE’s high angle rescue teams have the necessary training, technical skills and – most importantly – the experience to handle the ropes, anchoring and belaying, lowering and hauling systems that come with the territory. Our clients can rely on our skilled people to have relevant pre-plans and permits to perform do the job safety and efficiently, and meet the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards.
Our high angle rescue teams are also backed up by experienced and licensed emergency medical professionals, and fully equipped mobile medical units.
Confined Space Rescue
In most industrial settings there are many inherent dangers associated with entering into confined spaces. Oxygen deficiencies, toxic gases, explosive atmospheres and scope of work are just a few. In a perfect work environment, workers would be trained in proper procedures and personal protective equipment use before entering potentially hazardous confined spaces, and such emergencies would not be an issue. However, confined space accidents still occur.
HSE’s confined space rescue team is fully trained in the required techniques, and outfitted with the equipment to undertake an efficient rescue operation. Our competent rescue teams have the experience to meet our customers’ needs and objectives.
Part of HSE’s confined space rescue service is the implementation of a proper pre-plan for specific confined space work. We’ll help our clients complete hazard assessments, review lockout and tagout procedures, ensure the integrity of permits, and demonstrate the proper use of personal protective equipment. We’ll ensure that an effective rescue plan is in place and all personnel involved are informed of their responsibilities.
HSE’s confined space rescue teams also have the backup of experienced and licensed emergency medical professionals, and fully equipped mobile medical units.
