NEWS RELEASE – July 13 , 2006
HSE Integrated Ltd. ("HSE" or the "Company") is pleased to introduce to the Canadian petroleum industry its Well Control and Emergency Response team, consisting of Rob Graefer, Jarvis Jackson and Maurice Engman. The three have over 60 collective years of oilfield safety, well control and emergency response experience, some of which was acquired working with a team involved in the world's largest well control operation in Kuwait following the first Gulf War in 1991.
Rob Graefer is HSE's Emergency Response Manager based in Sylvan Lake, Alberta. Rob started in the oilfield safety industry in 1978 and has held positions of increasing responsibility since then. In addition to his responsibilities for well control operations in Canada and abroad, Mr. Graefer is also the Technical Services Manager for HSE's industrial firefighting division.
HSE's other Well Control Specialists are Jarvis Jackson and Maurice Engman. Mr. Jackson and Mr. Engman are two of the former owners of Key Safety Services Inc., which was acquired by HSE in January 2006. The pair has many years of experience in the areas of well control and emergency response.
HSE's well control team is supported by the country's largest fleet of oilfield safety equipment, and one of the most experienced safety services lineups in the international oil industry. The Company's well control division has operational bases in all the major petroleum producing areas of Alberta and B.C.
This combination of experience, equipment, capacity and logistics provides the Canadian petroleum industry with an unprecedented level of response and support when required.
David Yager, Chairman and CEO of HSE, had the following comments:
"In the oilfield safety services business, well control and emergency response is an area that requires more than experience by the front-line personnel. Depending upon the size or scope of the emergency, the front-line responders often need a great deal of support in terms of equipment and ancillary manpower. With the hands-on experience of our Well Control Team and the resources of the largest oilfield safety services supplier in Canadian history, HSE provides the Canadian petroleum industry with an unprecedented level of response in well control and blowout recovery services. Our industry works hard to minimize the frequency of such incidents, but when they do occur, HSE is ready to respond with the best package available to deal with them quickly and effectively."
HSE is an integrated supplier of industrial Health, Safety and Environmental services. From its head office in Calgary, Alberta, it serves its clients from field service locations in Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, Nova Scotia and Michigan. HSE trades on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol "HSL."
