Ontario Steel And Manufacturing Executive Joins HSE Board Of Directors
NEWS RELEASE – October 30, 2006
HSE Integrated Ltd. ("HSE" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that effective October 30, 2006, Alexander ("Sandy") Adam has joined the Board of Directors of HSE. The Company believes this is another important step in executing its stated intention to significantly expand its Industrial Health, Safety and Environment services into new industries, particularly those in Canada’s manufacturing heartland of southern Ontario.
Mr. Adam has enjoyed a long and successful career in the steel and manufacturing industries. He has held senior executive positions such as the President and CEO of Algoma Steel Inc., Senior Vice-President of Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada, and Vice-President and General Manager of Stelco Inc.’s Hilton Works. He lives in Burlington, Ontario.
While he is retired from day-to-day business activities, Mr. Adam is active as a director. He sits on the Board of Directors of Novamerican Steel Inc. where he is Chairman of the Compensation Committee and a member of the Audit Committee. For Gennum Corp., a technology company, he is Chairman of the Corporate Governance Committee and is a member of the Audit and Human Resources Committees. It is anticipated that Mr. Adam will join one or more of the committees on the HSE board.
