HSE Provides Emergency Response Services At Alberta International Air Show

NEWS RELEASE - July 29, 2010

HSE Integrated Ltd. (“HSE” or “the Company”) advises that it provided emergency response services at the Alberta International Air Show held in Lethbridge, Alberta July 23, 24 and 25 2010. This included Emergency Medical Services (“EMS”) consisting of a paramedic, ambulance and support staff and Emergency Fire Response (“EFR”) consisting of a specialized high capacity hydrocarbon firefighting manned by industrial firefighters with extensive training and experience in responding to blazes fueled by crude oil, natural gas and by-products such as diesel, gasoline and jet fuel.

HSE has been involved in the Alberta International Air Show in prior years on a volunteer basis from its service location In Brooks, Alberta, about one hour east of Lethbridge. This year the air show organizers contracted HSE to be the first responder on site for EMS and EFR services.

HSE’s capabilities were pressed into service on Friday July 23 when a Canadian Forces CF-18 fighter jet crashed during training runs. HSE was already on ready-alert standby because aircraft were active over the Lethbridge airfield. The pilot ejected seconds before the plane crashed and burst into flames. HSE EMS services were the first on the scene to stabilize and help transport the pilot to the nearest hospital emergency ward, while HSE’s EFR crew fully extinguished the blaze within minutes.

David Yager, Chairman, President and CEO of HSE had the following comments on this assignment.

“HSE’s emergency response personnel train for the worst and hope for the best. In the vast majority of cases for EMS and EFR we stand by and watch over operations in the unlikely event of an unfortunate incident. Our personnel at Lethbridge executed the assignments they are trained for using the equipment specifically designed for the assignment. We’re proud of their quick response and the fact the outcome was as positive as it could be under the circumstances now that the pilot is out of hospital and recovering”.
