Confined Space Entry Level 3
This course is designed to teach employees and employers about hazards associated with confined spaces, safe work procedures to follow when working in such conditions, and rescue techniques needed if the planning fails. The program focuses on rescue techniques, rescue planning and the use of rescue equipment.
This theoretical component is combined with practical training, where participants will practice safe entries and rescues in a confined space simulator.
The objectives and outcomes for this course are:
- Identifying required personal protective and rescue equipment
- Developing a confined space entry rescue plan
- SCBA and SABA breathing apparatus training
- Practical exercises to test the knowledge learned
- Proper use of rescue equipment (tripods, harnesses, etc.)
- Packaging of casualties
- Rescue techniques practiced with and without breathing apparatus
- Scenarios organizing rescue teams and multiple-casualty rescues
Prerequisite: Confined Space Entry Level 2
Duration: 8 hours
Participation: Maximum 16
Certification: HSE certificate
