Incident Investigation
An incident investigation system is one of the primary tools for identifying preventative solutions after an incident has occurred. The results of incident investigations can provide a basis for determining the likelihood of recurrence and for assessing potential severity. Such investigations also provide valuable information to assist in the development of effective controls to prevent future incidents.
This course focuses on the investigation process, and how the collected information may be used to explain what happened and determine the systemic root causes for the incident.
The objectives and outcomes for this course are:
- How to conduct an incident investigation
- Incident Investigation flow paths

- How to complete incident reports and provide analysis of information
- How to present potential solutions to prevent recurrence
